Bathing
Frequent bathing is essential. Make sure the water is warm, not hot. After the bath, pat your child's skin dry and then immediately apply a moisturizer to help seal in the water.
Although there are conflicting opinions regarding the amount of time a child should remain in the bath, a good rule of thumb seems to be about 5 to 10 minutes daily, before bed time. Always moisturize immediately after bathing.
Bathing
- Take care when bathing. Creams and oils make the bath and the child slippery.
